Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Theo Walcott is getting "close and closer" to singing a new deal at the club.
Walcott scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal beat Wolfsburg 1-0 Emirates Cup on Sunday, and Wenger has backed the 26 year old to mommit his long term future to the club and score plenty more goals this season.
"Not yet but we're getting closer and closer" Wenger replied when asked if Walcott has already signed a new contract at the Emirates.
